Recommend me a Home Theatre System

We're looking to get a surround sound system to go with our Projector setup at home, but I'm stumped at which to get.

We have a Wii, PS3 and the UPC box to connect.
Ideally we would want two tall boy front speakers, and two wireless back satellites. The room is completely finished, so wires everywhere would be a problem.


The room is pretty much square, with the screen over a rear facing window and the projector approx 15ft back.

There is a door on the left of the room (when you face the screen), and a large opening (width ~ 2.5doors) behind the projector into another room.

Anyone got any experience with this, or has anyone got any contacts for someone who will spec one up, and come out and fit it for a reasonable price? (The guy who put the projector/screen in cost us ~40% again in labour, as well as spec'ing an older model than I had suggested, with expensive bulbs)

Appreciate any input, budget is negotiable, obviously prefer to spend less, but if theres value to be had with a more expensive system, I am all ears.

You're price range would really be the deciding factor in this. You could go for a cheaper option and get something like the Samsung HT-TZ325R and get a wireless card to make the rear speakers wire free.

If you're looking for something more upscale i'd recommend buying the speakers separate from the amplifier which would cost ALOT more and would be harder to configure and setup but would provide a much better experience.

An easy setup would be excellent, as I am pretty decent at DIY stuff, but wouldn't be the best at the same time.

If I set the budget at €350, but say that it could stretch to as much as €500, would that make it easier for you to recommend something?

Yeah if thats your budget i'd consider something like the Samsung HT-TZ325R up above. It's easy to setup, it upscales dvd's to 1080P, and it comes with a microphone that autocalibrates each speaker to the room its in. You could buy a wireless kit to make the rear speakers cord free.

That's a pretty savage deal. The OP said he's looking for an all in one setup though. Definitely worth looking around if there's deals like that about.
