Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Christ, Dunphy's been on the beer.

"Pedro Rodriguez isnt up to it"

    20 goals this season.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 21,296 ✭✭✭✭gimmick

    Haha, Dunphy so far

Busquets - not up to it at this level
    Ibra - Lots to prove
Pedro - Not up to it at this level
Gabi Milito - Not even a good defender

I do hope the ref does well tonight.

Pedro 'not up to it'?! Up there with Dunphy's most cringeworthy quotes.

Did Dunphy just argue there that Barca aren't a great team or was I hearing things?!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,598 ✭✭✭joe316

Eamo: "Barca need to win things"

Billo: "They won 6 comps last year"

    I love this.

  • Site Banned Posts: 26,456 ✭✭✭✭Nuri Sahin

Initial thoughts are that Pep negates Mourinho's use of Pandev and Eto'o as wide players to press the Barça fullbacks..there are none to press now!

But the game may become more narrow, making it tough for Barça to create.

On the flip side, there's more options on the bench with Maxwell not starting.

    Oh and Forza eh...... Inter.

Yeah, " a touch of the Arsenals about them ".

    Is Dunphy on the crackpipe?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,836 ✭✭✭Vokes

Hmm, can see Maicon causing all sorts of havoc down that Barca left flank.

Assuming Inter can ever get the ball of course!

But it also gives them space on teh break on the flipside.

i think Inter will score. But Barca are easily capabale of getting 3 or 4.

Keita is a cracking player, but has he ever played left back before?

that was Giles and tbh, they have looked a bit out of sorts without Iniesta, still have great players but they are a much better team with him and Xavi in there imo.

well the reason I want inter to win is because of player like zanetti, lucio and Sneijder

plus they havent won the Cl for like 40yrs iirc

    Fair enough reason really.

    I reckon the line up will be;

    Porn Star

    -Alves
    Pique
    Milito
    Keita--

    Xavi
    Busquets
    Toure

    Messi
    Ibra
    Pedro

Makes sense, because Keita works his ass off on the left side, and hasn't been that good in attack since christmas, whereas Toure has been immense. I like the look of that team tbh, Reckon we can win it. Don't think we'll go through though.

Well there was talk of him starting at LB for the final last year, so presumably he has. Not that I know when though...

Yeah, he's played there a good few times. There's no way Barça will play 3 at the back against Eto'o, Milito and Pandev, especially not if one of those 3 is Alves!

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 3,563 ✭✭✭kinaldo

If Dunphy wasn't so damn entertaining I'd be calling for his head.

I wish RTÉ would make their panel do a bit of research to prevent such silly and ignorant comments.

Could play Milito, Toure and Pique though.

Mourinho has just walked out into the centre circle to rile up the home fans

    I really hate that man.

Don't know why he'd want to make them any noiser than they already would be though, seems like a silly move to me.

    I'm confident of a 3-0 or 4-1 to Barca.

    Eamonn Dunphy 28-4-10.

It'll be funny how stupid Real Madrid look if Inter win tonight. Sneijder and Robben are largely responsible for their team being where they are.

Fingers crossed for Zlatan for 1st goalscorer.

If I hear about watering the pitch one more time !

Hopefully Barca stay on their feet and quit the cheating this week.

Hope Inter do the business, think they will.

1951: A few players, by the way, will be treading the fine line tonight just a booking away from missing the final should their team get there. For Barcelona, it's Dani Alves and Gerard Pique, for Inter Milan it's Walter Samuel, Maicon, Samuel Eto'o and Javier Zanetti.

    From BBC!

iff Walter Samuel gets away without a yellow card, it would be a miracle

Someone from Inter is either getting the line or will miss teh final if they get there.

Cambiasso and Motta have to watch themselves now - long time to play against Barca having to watch yourself.

    Maicon injured now.

Its all Barca so far if they score before haf time it be very interesting.

    Inter living on edge.

Bad feeling if Inter were to go through Zanetti will miss the final :(

Looking like a typical Catenaccio/Mourinho performance so far from Inter.

Conspiracy - another Inter friendly ref :pac:

Hardly living on the edge in fairness, they're defending quite comfortably.
