Alot of bad misses??

Hi all, Not a huge expert on snooker but I do enjoy watching it each year on tv. But is it just me or is there quite a bit of really bad misses this year. Graeme Dotts miss from a snooker springs to mind and Mark Williams missed a really easy blue if I remember correctly. Any thoughts?
