I spent almost 2hrs today gardening; weeding; pruning; clearing out auld leaves; and planting new colourful flowers - It was FUN!

It's been sooo damn long since I felt this relaxed; at ease and content - It just felt Lovely!

My Loving Dad (now Resting in Peace since 20th Dec. 2013) , my Mom and I created this patch/area and built it up to where it is today. We brought it from a dumping-ground of auld flowers people were throwing away to an area full of Love, Life and Colour - I am Proud of us!

Just stuck on a double-CD of Elvis Presley's Greatest Hits. Fúcking hell. He was some man with some voice. And what a range. He had the songs that you'd see in sitcoms set in the 1950's (you know the type; the ones where the guys and gals all dance to), he had the numbers that ooze rock n' roll and the numbers that could get a tear from a stone, such is the emotion and power in his voice ("Always On My Mind" and "Can't Help Falling In Love" would be the most prominent ones).

I always liked his stuff, but hadn't listened to him in a while. Just listen to the man's voice, and you can see why he was so popular. Powerful, graceful, soulful. Add in the iconic image he had, the frenetic live shows and the sheer force and charisma he possessed, and there was never any doubt he was going to be the biggest superstar of them all.

Even 60 years after he first sang his way to the top and 37 years since his untimely death at the all-too-young age of 42, there is a reason he is still known as The King.
