Hello all. We live on a site with very tight access and need to figure out a way to get construction deliveries without removing the existing road frontage.
Does anyone know the width/length of a standard cement truck and also the block truck and the type that delivers stone/aggregate?
    Thanks,
    Ciaran

its a concrete truck :D ( only a cement truck if it delivering cement)

basically what i would do is contact the company that you will be ordering your concrete, mortar and blocks off and ask them to fax you the dimensions of their vehicles. they should have them .

the problem is that most vehicls have variations so lets say a block lorry might have a central mounted hiab. and some have them at the rear.

best to ask them actually for the maximum dimesions of their vehicles and work from there. if you reckon its too tight width wise its better getting the fax off them as if they tell you ( for arguments sake) the truck is 3 m wide. and it arrivs and its 4 m wide you can say that they told you it was x wide and that waiting time etc etc cant be charged etc etc

also another thing to look out for is possible height restrictions. over head cables , large trees etc

Thanks for the prompt replies. Getting the absolute dimensions on paper is a great idea. Height will also be a concern because eircom were too lazy to trench the wire when they passed our house!

3.25m is what you should aim to have
