    • what would i need with it to make it work?
    • does anyone know if it is any good?
    • what kind of channels could you get with it?
Or if anyone has expierence good or bad with free to air digital tv?

I have a very similar one from lidl, if you have sky already just plug the receaver in its place and its ready to go. If not you will need to install a dish.

The channels available would be "Free to air" so if you google that you will see the 500 or so channels available. The channels I watch mostly are BBC1,2,3,4 ITV 1,2,3,4 Chanel 4, More, 4 E4, Film 4. There are no Irish channels on Free to air.

    The quality is fine.

If you want a similar experience to sky with the channel guides then you should look for Freesat which has the weekly TV guide. Free to air only has "now and next".

I've had a Lidl kit for 3 or 4 years now. It's fine, initially Channel 4 & 5 etc. weren't FTA but there's a good range now. I use this site to see what channels are FTA & it gives the frequencies etc. required to tune them in...http://www.lyngsat.com/28east.html.

Only problem I have is the dish is too small, it doesn't pick up Eurobird 28.5 degree channels like the music channels, and sometimes rain interrupts the signal. This is obviously not an issue if you are just getting the receiver, but would be something to consider if buying their other upcoming satellite offer http://www.lidl.ie/ie/home.nsf/pages/c.o.20100429.p.Digital_Camping_Satellite_System

There are better ones out there for cheaper. Do a search. I'd say you'll be surprised
