Just thought I'd start a thread for all the economics students. Obviously our subject is kind of in the spotlight at the moment and they could easily slip in a few topical questions. This thread is for speculation of what those might be and what would be the possible answers. Also if anyone has the economic indicators could they please post them up.

Here's one to start anyway (from my pre):
Both the price of and demand for property has fallen in Ireland in recent years. Discuss (i) four reasons for this development and (ii) two economic consequences.
    (i) -General inflation
    -lack of availability of credit
    -negative speculation
    -higher unemployment
-more foreign nationals leaving the country
-fall in business has lowered demand for commercial property

(ii)- less stamp duty for Revenue
    -increased unemployment in construction/auctioneers sector

    Explain NAMA and its functions?

Would you expect GNP to be greater or less than GDP in Ireland?

The papers will have been set (roughly) last summer, so keep that in mind.
