Halo Reach Beta Monday 3rd

Found this snippet of other info while I was Googling, some may not be aware of the game types:

"The beta kicks off with three playlists featuring the all-new, highly competitive Arena mode (4v4 ranked Team Slayer games) as well as 'Free-for-All' and 'Grab Bag' playlists, which include a mix of classic and brand new game types. Beginning May 7, the new large-scale Spartan vs. Elite 'Invasion' playlist will be added to the beta. Finally, beginning May 14 the 'Generator Defense' game type will become available."

I have not been looking forward to something as much as i have this, i think we can expect to be playing sometime around 7 or 8 tonight going by what my cuz in Santa Cruz says

Its hilarious reading the Reach Forums on Xbox Live, the yanks are all fighting "Reach suxs", "Bungie f*ucked the release up" etc etc, theres going to be some grade A asswipes on tonight!!

I've put disc 1 in but it says "preview the beta". Is it off the main menu?

i had that too but it changed to play. 1.15gb i'm at 25%

Perfect timing by me, just home and 'Play the Beta' is there, 1.15GB to download so could be an hour before I get to see it's loveliness :eek:

Just finished my first game and my Xbox froze. Just my luck!

No matter, headin in to my friends tomorrow so should get a good days gaming down

I like it from what I played, new controls take a bit of gettin used to. Lookin forward to playin some more tomorrow.

rrod and a plethora of errors happened to me yesterday for the first time, and it froze when i attempted to download the beta today

Got to about 45% download, fairly slow thorughout. Shot up to 99% about an hour but hasnt moved since. Is it likely downloading away in the background and realistically about 70/80%?

Anyone else get this?

downloaded it but it wont work for me . says loading info from reach severs

Could be, not sure... If its stuck at 99% maybe just turn it off and back on and see if theres a change in the status of the download?
