Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

If you have a wireless router then it should have a spare Ethernet port available that you could use to connect your spare laptop to; provided your laptop also has an Ethernet port. If both your router and laptop have an Ethernet port, all you need is an Ethernet cable, usually referred to as either cat5/cat6 cable, to connect them both.

You can find Ethernet cables in lots of different sizes on Amazon for a really good price. Be warned though, places like PC World charge an absolute fortune for cables of any sort, so try stick to online retailers since they're generally a lot cheaper than brick and mortar stores.

A DSL cable just goes between a DSL router or modem and a phone line

There is no problem connecting one laptop/pc by ethernet cable and others wirelessly
