Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

i was planning on rooting my Hero today, but i read that it causes you to lose your ability to geoLocate your phone, so would that affect things like Google Sky map, Weather app etc?

Also, does anyone have anything close to official on rooting vs warranty?
Im on Meteor, and dont really want to void my warranty in any form whatsoever.

I rooted and i can tell you that my weather app only tells me im in Ireland now

Originally on my official 1.5 ROM i would at times get told Dublin or sometimes it would be very specific i.e. Lucan, Swords etc etc. Thats not happening at the moment. Weather thats down to rooting, i dont know, my mate has a non rooted Desire and he's the same.

Think its a Android 2.1 thing

My rooted hero worked fine on weather - sometimes Dun Laoghaire, sometimes stillorgan but always fairly close.
