    Thanks RK
Have exams till the 17th but could make the other dates I'd say.

I voted for Friday the 21st but really I think I could make most of the dates (not that I have no life or plans or anything, I just......ehhhm...)

Not sure about venue though, maybe The Globe on Georges Street to begin with and then see where the night takes us :)

Again, I'm like a Sunday morning so whatever you guys decide....etc

I voted for the 22nd, but any of them really would be ok

    *bump*

Anyone else got any preferences as to where we should go?

Looking fairly good for the weekend of the 22nd though.

I'm all new to this forum, so I don't expect my voice to count for much.
But if it happens to be the 22nd I'll pop in and say hi. :D My only exam's that morning.

it's awesome. though i've only been there on mondays or fridays.
make and do is brilliant fun, and i host a womens book&dvd swapping club there sometimes:)

I love Pantibar too, just seems to have a bit of a different vibe to it compared to some other places on the scene. Would be quite happy to go there, though I haven't been there on a Saturday night in a long time.

Up to yourselves though ladies... venue suggestions so far have been

    - Dragon
    - Pantibar
    - The Globe

and I'm going to throw in the suggestion of possibly going to somewhere "straight but relaxed" - Porterhouse, Market Bar, Foggy Dew, Bull & Castle?

I'll also mention that the 22nd is the night of the Champions League final and the Heineken Cup final is on that day too, and the 29th is Eurovision night.

I've never been to Bull & Castle, but this article on Gaelick has totally turned me off it :)

I'm fine with any of the other bars you mentioned. Pravda can be nice as well.

Hadn't read that article about Bull & Castle, never had any issues with it when I was there with gay male friends, but I'll strike it off the list there.

As I said I haven't been there myself, and even if it wasn't a gay thing, I'm best off somewhere the barmen don't mind some swearing methinks:)

is there a date defo set yet?

  • Registered Users Posts: 26,928 ✭✭✭✭rainbow kirby

Gonna give it a couple more days, because it's very close between the 22nd and the 29th on the poll. It'll be one of those two though.

hey there, I voted for the 29th (cuz its payday :o ) but not sure I can make it anyway so if it helps you can disregard my vote :)

(if it becomes a regular thing might get up some other time)

Damit, I'll be home (well in Ireland) a month later :(

I assume a girl like me is ok for the meet up? (a 'T' that is), of course I'd like somebody explain why I'm not :)

    Of course you would be!

I think the 22nd is looking like a winner... so we just need to choose a venue now.

    Soooo...Where are we going? :)

Maybe a poll with venue options? Or is a bit late in the day for that

I think it might be going ahead next weekend instead :(

Probably a bit late to call a venue for tonight!

I actually can't make next Saturday, so if people want to choose a venue for then, or possibly pick a venue for a night out on the 4th or 5th of June feel free.

Next Saturday is Eurovision night, so it'll be a good night in any gay bar. :)

How about next Friday or Saturday night? Could also do Thursday if anyone's free?

  • Registered Users Posts: 4,677 ✭✭✭Zwillinge

    Did anything happen? :P

Was out of the country myself. Eurovision night sounds like a laugh though ;):D

Did this happen? What about just having a night out for the whole LGBT forum?

It was so much easier to blame it on Them. It was bleakly depressing to think that They were Us. If it was Them, then nothing was anyone's fault. If it was us, what did that make Me? After all, I'm one of Us. I must be. I've certainly never thought of myself as one of Them. No one ever thinks of themselves as one of Them. We're always one of Us. It's Them that do the bad things.

Didn't happen yet - though a night out for all of us could be fun.
