Some lovely shots of the torch run

Here are some of mine - I am volunteer in Media Services so had good access all round. I was the person that Ian Dempsey asked to come on stage to take a shot - all good fun :)

didn't get to opening ceremony but looks like it was great event. Very disappointed though at the lack of publicity around the city about the event. There are no flags or banners welcoming the olympians, shop windows not done up, nothing - munster flags still on the bridges and O'Connell St. There are a few (pathetic imo) signs on a roundabout or two but generally nothing. The bike parade on the other hand is well advertised. Really think there should have been more put into the city welcoming the special olympics though.

was at the opening cermony (working) and even though i am not a fan of the cranbarries i have to give credit where credit is due, delores was very good conversing and mixing with the athlets which made their day and ment so much to them, which at the end of the day its all about them, however they could have sang one or two more songs, they didnt go over board in that catagory.
over all, the night was a great success with very little medical incidents and the athletes had a ball.:D
