Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

the old road is no longer the N6 (not sure what the new number is - R-something, possibly several different numbers) and may not be all that well signposted. Get a (very) recent map.

You can ride a bike on ANY road that is not a motorway, with as far as I know the sole exception being the part of the N25 that is the Jack Lynch tunnel.

I think this via Oranmore is what you want, I think what Google Maps has marked as the N6 is actually the M6 and the R road through Oranmore is the old N6. IIRC it used to be quite a busy road but wide and a good surface; if it is anything like all the other roads replaced with motorways it should be virtually empty now.

Part of the road on the map Blorg has given you is a dual carriageway, whilst you are allowed cycle on it, the coast road that runs nearby is far quieter and nicer. This is the route.
