Digital Camera - can't get pics onto PC

I have a Panasonic NV-GS60EB-S with pics and videos taken recently, but when I hook up to the PC, the images don't transfer over - anyone got any tips (and yes, I've pluggged it into the PC and turned it on!):D

Tell us:
- What OS are you running on the PC?
- When you connect them up, what happens? - Can you see the camera folder in the windows explorer?
- What are you used to doing / what did you expect to happen?

ta, I'm on XP, the camera (it's the actually a camcorder / camera) folder is in Explorer, when I right click on the icon, it gives the option to get pictures, but when I click on this it show no pictures, it doesn't even give an option for video on the unit...............I would be used to just hooking up a new USB devices and the PC picks them up............I haven't downloaded any drivers for this unit.........

Try going to MY Computer and double click on it from there and browse through by double clicking ratrher than right-click

Another simplier way to transfer pics without cables is buy an SD card adapter, only about €5 euro online ;

you take the sd card out of your camera,
insert card into adapter,
plug adapter in usb port,
you then see an external drive on your PC containing your pics

Much easier than messing around with the camera, drivers and cable

if you have got a laptop
look around the sides and front of it, there is a slot for these camera cards, there, my two have their computers at least four years and did not know that until last week, they were transferring to my desktop, and then using the busby to transfer from mine to theirs, until i showed them the slots, they thought they knew it all,and i had not a clue,
please look around your laptop
then slot it in
go to my computer
go to removable drive G which would be the card
open it up
all your pictures should come up
get back to us on this please
