I'm pretty sure that after TDK and Inception Nolan has free reign and can do whatever he wants. They are planning to reboot it anyway so it makes no difference.

Totally, I'm sure Nolan as free reign on everything to do with this movie. The reboot is gonna be very difficult to make. I'm not sure what angle they are gonna take on it because in my opinion its got to be very different from this trilogy. Maybe if they make it much more like the comic book and away from the real the real world and perhaps more for younger audiences it might work.

The scientists conclude that the crusader get a bigger cape, pack a parachute, or use propulsion jets to keep himself aloft.

Already done in the Kingdom Come Graphic Novel :pac::

After the success of the Avengers, Warner Bros must be chomping at the bit to get a "Justice League" film up and running. The Man of Steel movie next year coupled with the much touted Batman reboot will (IMHO) be the first pieces of this particular plan. It does sadden me slightly to think that Batman is already being touted as the next superhero for a reboot considering the TDKR hasn't even hit theaters yet. If they do go down this road, then there will be many factastical elements from all of the DC characters' worlds thrown in to the mix (if only to make the Flash and Wonder Woman characters appear more normal and everyday). Time will tell I suppose.

Cant see a problem with a reboot.
Batman Begins doesn't take anything away from Batman 1989.
Two excellent, but, completely different films.

I'm looking forward to the reboot to where the next director takes the franchise, as much as I'm looking forward to seeing how Nolan does justice to BB and TDK.

Great times we live in, we'll look back in years to come and wonder how we thought we could live so large and leave so little for the rest..

I dont disagree but it really depends on who to get to reboot the Franchise, should be looking at someone like Fincher but will end up with MCG or Brett Ratner.

After Nolan, they surely couldn't be that stupid, especially given the potential for Batman continuing to make them a nice profit. It'd have to be someone on a par with Nolan or at least, someone with an equally strong vision.

I don't think there is any film maker on a par with Nolan when it comes to making blockbusters, not even James Cameron. Its going to be very difficult to get someone to take over and do it justice.

I can't see Warners getting a big name director. That would involve handing the franchise over to someone who will spend a lot of money and will be difficult to control and possibly make a balls of the whole thing.

It's easy to forget but when Nolan directed Begins he had only directed a few films, Memento being the most notable. Insomnia was a fairly workman-style effort and nothing to get excited about. Even Begins was clearly the work of someone on a tight leash. He proved himself on that film and was let loose on TDK. I think the studio prefer doing things this way. So I expect a talented but lesser known director to take over the reigns. Another Marc Webb-type choice.

Your probably right, maybe Duncan Jones if hes interested or Neill Blomkamp might be good choices. Warner are probably a little worried at the moment with the end of both Harry Potter and now Batman, where their guaranteed cash cows are gonna come from.

Its funny to think Nolan was still relatively new director when he made Begins, now he's one of the few directors in hollywood that studios would basically hand a blank cheque to for making a film. TDK made over a billion worldwide, Inception was well over 800m and I doubt TDKR will have any problem making a billion either. I wonder will he make something much smaller next, can't be easy making three massive scale productions back to back so he probably wants the break of doing something not as setpiece heavy again. I'd like to see something like The Prestige again, which is his most underrated movie imo and didnt do all that well at the box office.

Webb would be a good choice, even though TAS was cut to bits; it was an enjoyable film. Martin Campbell wouldn't be a bad choice either, did a great job on Casino Royale.

My own choice would be Guillermo Del Toro, imagine what he could do with Joker, Bane, Two Face... Never mind Batman.

Can't seen Martin Campbell getting a gig like that after Green Lantern

The second track is amazing, very unlike previous Zimmer tracks, reminds me of something else.

Ive never considered myself a huge fanboy with any franchise but Ive been realising over the last few days that I'm completely depressed at the idea of Batman finishing. Im dreading seeing the credits roll on DKR :D

Is this only new or is everyone already aware of this...?

IMDB listing upcoming Batman reboot with Chris Nolan and David S. Goyer as writers and Darren Aronofsky directing. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1877830/

If this is true this is very good news. Although I was under the impression that Nolan was finished with Batman in every context...?

Aronofsky was meant to make a low budget adaptation of Batman: Year One about ten years ago, that fell apart the budget grew and they gave it to Nolan. Begins still has lots of elements from Year One in it, whole scenes are straight out of the book. I'm pretty sure that page is just something to do with that dead project.
