Anybody up for going to Craichouse on Saturday night? It's a semi-amateur stand up comedy night in the LV. Think they advertise as starting at 9, but it's usually more like half past.

True, details should be mainly posted here and FB used as secondary "handy" source for people that are part of it.

The idea is to go cinema to watch hot-tub time machine and then drinks after. I'm not sure if I'll make it. i've meeting bright and early Saturday morning thats quite important and I must be in Kerry friday evening!

we had someone try to cancel our meal on sat night.
if we have the event on boards, people can show their interest and then get pm'd about the time and place.
i dont think facebook should be used for posting boards events, just the pics

I've been to outings (all of 2 )but I'm not on facebook. Don't think there are any photos of me up there anyway....

I guess the easiest thing is if the organiser chooses where to post events ... Any new people can send a pm easily enough without exact details of time and venue being posted ... Anyone who wants to organise an event and post full details can so should be no problem

The only reason for having the facebook group is to share photos and that is all! (Yes when a date and time for a meetup is decided I send a facebook invite but that is more of a reminder than anything else).

Boards is a great place to chat and socialise.
Lets not take that away by replacing it with facebook.

We get all our new people from them seeing us chat on boards so in my opinion boards is where it's at!

Good, that's what I was trying to say earlier, If someone tries to organise a get together it should be up to the organiser where it gets aired! Kingtut can post his events on here :-)
