Looking for a watch

    that comes with quartz movement.

i myself would go for a mechanical (automatic or manual-wind) watch,
    e.g., Seiko SKX781, a.k.a. Monster

    or more colour..... :D

very nice self-winding watch indeed to be started, imho :)

moreover, there are plenty of alternatives available for your budget.
you could do a research by yourself on, e.g.,
    http://forums.watchuseek.com/index.php ;)

happy hunting and all the best!!!

Plus one on the seiko truetime suggests. Great watch.

Rejoice in the awareness of feeling stupid, for that’s how you end up learning new things. If you’re not aware you’re stupid, you probably are.

I'm not really interested in any colours like that tbh.Mostly either a black leather band or the stainless steel, and a black or white face.I was kinda liking the watches by Victorinox Swiss Army and Invicta at a lower price, but I heard that they weren't great watches.

titan18, sorry for my English as it is not my first language.
please do not understand me wrong.

the Victorinox and Invicta are all nice in their own right,
even quartz movement. you could not go wrong either way.
based on my knowledge about Invicta, it is an American brand that
comes with Japanese quartz movement. however, there are also
some models that use Swiss movement and ..... of course more
expensive. for this brand, i would personally go for a chronograph
model with ETA7750 Swiss movement. you could go to invictawatch.com
and then try the search function with "automatic chronograph".

to sum up, my main point was the more time you learn about watches
in any brands, movements, ....., the better watch you get, imho :)

    all the best

you can get a better watch at a cheaper price, I have a Seiko Monster too and it's a very nice watch.
Anyway, you might want to consider also those with a manual movement like the Steinhart, you can check the different models on the website and the price include the shipping cost

I have the Nav-B and the Aviation, they are quality watches and an open case so the movement is shown on the back.

Are you looking for watches similar in function to the one you linked to in your first post, eg chronographs or had any other Victorinox or Invictas caught your eye?

Some good suggestions so far but by the sounds of it none to your liking, if you could post up a few more examples of what you like (even if they are out of your price range) people might be able to give better suggestions.

With your budget would you rather it be closer to 300 or are you ok going to 400 (or perhaps a little higher)?

I can go to 450 at max really but would rather not go above 350,will go higher depending on the watch though. It doesn't need to be a chronograph,I don't really mind.

Other watches I liked would be :

I like the Hamilton Khaki automatic too and the Stowa Marine automatic is nice too but they're higher prices afaik

I'm on the lookout myself for a nice watch in the same price range, I like the look of these watches u recommend, whats the quality like?

Can anyone recommend me a nice watch with a black leather strap, I have small wrists, so a small face would be suitable. I'd like it to be anything but quartz as thats all i'v used and wanted to change to a manual movement.

I like the chronograph style watches, simple, plain and classy type of watch with a round face would be my ideal watch...

    Any help would be grateful

    thanks

    :)

Steinhart has a very good quality for the price, they don't look anything like chinese (Parnis, Alpha etc...), they have the same movement of Panerai (although the latter has a superior finish and overall quality) and they are realiable and with a touch of vintage.

You might go also for some Seiko

I'm also selling this Hamilton Trent Moonphase (it's a quartz) if you are interested*
