Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Who Will Get That Final Champions League Place

So with what looks like it has boiled down to a play off for fourth place Wednesday will see Spurs go to Eastlands to take on Manchester City.

This season has seen both sides slip up on numerous occasions when they could of run away with fourth place and to be fair both sides are only a few results away from being in the mix with Arsenal another ever present in the top four. The difference City's run of six games drawn or Spurs loosing to stoke and wolves at home by narrow margins.

Even if Spurs do take that final spot is it just putting off the enevitable surge of Manchester City, who in the next few years could see league titles and champions league glory?

A draw I believe could very much be on the cards to put the agony on both clubs and make it come down to the final day of the season. To be honest I just hope we know where the foods been cooked this time.

Obviously I'm voting for Spurs be intresting to see if we get more then 7% this time :p

    Man City will get it.

Even if they don't this year, it is only a stay of execution for the rest of the teams, as they will continue to flex their chequebook and so on during the summer and they will be an even more genuine force next season.

I hope to god it's Spurs.

I think Spurs will do it, partially due to City's goalkeeping situation.

And I'm going to stick my neck out and say that City will not finish higher than 5th next year either - the team is too volatile to not have a personality crisis next season at some point.

Man City will beat Spurs at Eastlands to get 4th, It will be good for the Football Economy as City will give teams money and set off a cycle.

Yep City will snatch it, beating Spurs going a long way to wrapping it up. Will Spurs park the bus? A draw would be huge result for them.

Who thinks any of these 2 will beat:

    Sevilla
    Sampdoria
    Bremen
    Zenith
    Celtic :D
or the other unknown 4 teams who will be fairly decent. Mad how the english media reckon 4th is gauranteed group stages

Want Spurs to get it <ugh feel kinda dirty> as City will consolidate and build whereas Spurs are less likely to imo.

Not sure who will - if Gomez does play would probably favour Spurs as I don't really rate either defence.

Lawrenson said on MOTD last night if Citeh get 4th, he can seen them winning the premiership in the next 2 or 3 seasons

In terms of performance this year, spurs have really punched above their weight and deserve 4th where as city, with the money they spent have not really yet are still very much in the race if not in a better position than spurs.

I really hope spurs nab it as next year it will be much much tougher.

Wednesday's game is going to be class. I have a suspicion that City might win it, hopefully Spurs can at least get a draw though.

I think City will win on Wednesday, but that may not be the end of it. I genuinely thought Villa would get something in Eastlands on Saturday and I think if City play like that against us we may struggle. Massive game though. Like Des, heart says Spurs but head says City.
