    haha nah the ship gun isnt an option, the 107mm is a rof of 7 per min i think.

    has great armp and dmg though!

    The arty balance works better on higher tiers since the high tier arty is less fun to play so theres less people playing arty to choose from

    I don't know about that. I'm rather enjoying my Hummel. For starters, the opposition tends to be slow enough in the high tier games that it's actually possible to hit something. It also seems to be getting me a profit of 20-30k a game in credits, as long as I don't die too early.

    beta 0.6.2.4 update preliminary information

    Main:
    - Added new maps: "Ruinberg" and "El Halluf".
    - Added new battle mode: the "Tank Company Battle". A company of tanks with sum of tiers from 60 to 90 will get into a company waiting list where it will be randomly assign an opposing company.
    - Added voice chat based on the Vivox technology. It works only for platoons in random battle, for companies in tank company battles and for training battle. The feature is still in testing hence is implemented with minimal settings.
    - Added achievements: "Reaper", "Invincible", "Survivor", "Raider", "Master Gunner", "Kamikaze",
    - Added medals: Kolobanov's medal, Billotte's medal, Fadin's medal, Wittmann's medal, Orlik's medal, Oskin's medal, Halonen's medal, Burda's medal.
    - Added full dynamic shadows. The option is located in settings "Enhanced shadows". The shadows are in the testing mode so there is a possibility of artifacts.
    - Added new interface for repair and resupply of consumables - "Service": added possibility to automatically replenish consumables and to repair the tank after coming out of the battle, possibility to quickly replenish consumables, ability to change the sequence of shells.
    - Added controls settings in the game settings.

    Gameplay:
    - The doubled experience for the first battle (in a day) on each tank now is given not for the first battle, but for the first victory on the tank..
    - Training battle does not count as the first battle anymore for the purposes of the doubled experience.
    - The chance of hitting an inner module (except gun) increased from 33% to 50%.
    - Removed possibility when any HE that explodes near a tank to damage internal modules, except crew members.
    - The damage to inner modules from an HE that exploded on the tank armor is reduced by 50%, exception - crew members.
    - Change experience transfer from a group of tanks. The experience from all tanks is collected so all tanks left with zero experience and then it is transferred. The remaining under 25 experience is placed on the last tank on the list.
    - "Scout" is now awarded only if the team won.
    - "Sniper" is now awarded if during the battle there was no friendly damage.
    - The top tanks in the battle roster are now balanced not by the level but by the match-making "value", which considers type of the tank.
    - The coefficient of heavy tanks for the match-making calculations is increased from 1.3 to 1.45.
    - Reworked tank distribution tiers in battles.
    - Fixed ability of lifting fallen trees with tank.
    - Removed possibility of driving beyond the edge of the map during lag spikes.
    - Fixed tank spawns considering type of the tank (SPG in Malinovka, etc.).

    System:
    - Fixed FPS drops during rendering of track prints.
    - Fixed lags when destroying objects.
    - Improved auto-configuration of graphic settings.
    - Experimental feature. Limited speed of rendering in the loading screen, this should improve loading time for slow computers.
    - Added some optimizations which suppose to end single sharp falls and dips in FPS.

    Content:
    - Multiple fixes of tanks' models and textures.
    - Set a normal speed of track rotation on all tanks.
    - Reworked and added destruction of some objects.
    - Fixed some spots on the maps where tanks would get stuck or couldn't pass.
    - Modified base flagpoles and flag animation.
    - Added removal of rendering for some small objects at long distances.
    - Reworked shot sounds of some guns.

    Interface:
    - Changed system notifications in the hangar.
    - Fixed changing music volume level which worked only for battles.
    - Multiple small interface changes.
    - Added hints-tooltips on interface elements in hangar.
    - Fixed purchasing a tank with a slot in hangar without warning.
    - Fixed bug with filter "Location" in barracks switches by itself.
    - Fixed invite notification, if the player is in the battle at that moment.
    - Added display of User Agreement after the client launch.
    - Added turning on/off of "after death" post-effect in settings.
    - Removed ability to lower camera beneath the water level.
    - Now after purchasing premium, hangar immediately updates to premium.
    - Fixed UI bug when researching several vehicles and/or modules in a row using free experience

    Voice comms, new shadows, new battle mode, consumable change, control settings & achievments / medals should surely have given it a higher version number?

    The softwipe is dependent on the restart of EU servers, not on this particular update

    Very nice bonus alright. I'll update my premium for the next 2 months t hen use the rest for cash when I need it. Currently slugging through a Tiger to get to a KT so I'll be swimming in cash for a long time unti I reach the XP. I've got my Hummel the other night too and I'm not doing any TD's atm. I'll probaby buy a KV and grind up to the IS series in tanks and see how that goes.

    Manic: I wouldn't go for any premium tanks, they're muck in every way compared to their equals in tier.

    Just gonna pimp out the tiger, not really intrested in climbing any higher.

    When this game goes live and it has the hard wipe, i really cant c myself grinding all this again. It would be near impossable without the free gold.

    this game has failed before its even been released.

    they have a hugecore of players that have been playing beta for months, a lot of whom will not be eager to start the whole chain of grinding over again.

    why dont they just release the dam thing, its been out in russia for months like.

    at the moment im cruisin around in my kv (most fun imo), kv3, stug iii, tiger, and few other lowbies.

    the german tech tree is so inferior to the russians.

    the kv3 is a much better tank than the tiger and its a tier lower, all its missing is the extra 450 hp. the tiger, untill u get the final gun is an absolute joke. bouncing shots at point blank off a kv. hate it.

    deffo stearing clear of the german tanks if i play the game upon release.

    russian developers = russian superiority in game.

    some nice changes, had a quick game tonight and seen a few of the new tanks.

    still pissed off at how **** my tiger is, poo cannon on it.

    500 gold a day is nice too.

    would have loved a soft wipe...

    New patch is nice, first game with JagdPanther I got 7 kills, first game with kv-3 I got 8 kills, I'm guessing this is down to the balance system which seems to be fixed letting me get into fights with smaller stuff instead of being at the bottom rung all the time.

    So it's time to start playing this. I've got some 14k in gold so I can to pretty much any tank I want. Is it worth starting off with the crappy tier 1's despite this? Or should I just go straight to something more profitable?

    I played over 20+ games with the BT-7 and killed nothing at all. Pure scout vehicle and I hated it so damn much.

    I've found a nice middle ground with my Tiger, not too much of a shell magnet, can take decent damage and can dish it out to the high tiers easily enough. Only downside is trying to get any major profit credit wise.

    A platoon is something that you can only create once you are online with other players and is limited to 3 players. It allows for you and 2 of your friends for example to play on the same server. 1 player out of the 3 needs to have a Premium account in order to create the platoon (in the beta everyone should have a premium account.)

    Tank companies are almost the same thing as platoons but you can have up to 15 players. There is though a minimum number allowed in a company. The over all strength must be between 70 and 90 tier points (i.e. the sum of tank levels in a team). This means that you may have to wait until you have 10 tier7 tanks in your company which won't be possible if you just want Boards.ie players are there rarely seems to be more than 4 of online at any one time.*

    Platoons are 'destroyed' once the person who created them logs off (afaik) while companies remain open.

    Just try all of the Tier 1s and see what you like, choosing between tanks, TDs and arty.

    It doesn't take long to get to Tier 3 so should you change your mind about something it won't be time wasted as such.

    kind of burned out with this at the moment, havent really played over xmas at all, just find it pointless when theyre presumably gonna release the game soon enough and kick everyone back to square one.

    I think ill just wait till they release it and have the odd game till then.

    Agreed. The idea is workable but unless something dramatic is done I can't see the game having any sort of longevity. There's not enough tangible difference between any of the classes bar arty and only slightly at that.

    I'm enjoying it so far. The hard-wipe won't affect me much because I prefer mid-teir tanks anyway.
    I must say I find the way you can tranfer some addons to the next tank but not others because they are ''bolted in'' to be a bit anal.

    I reckon a spotting system like Battlefield 2 would work, so when you see a tank it you press a button to say that tank has been spotted and it stays on the map longer if its a lumbering heavy but you will loose your spot on the lighter (moving) tanks quicker

    and also no chained radios, it should take a while the signal to reach farther away tanks that are outside your broadcast range so that message has to be relayed through another tank, so then you wont be visible to enemy tanks immediately from the other side of the map
