To be fair to Daz, this has already been discussed at length and those 'hits' were actually ricochets.

Oddy does have plenty of footage of blatant non-hit-taking in the many hours of video he has shot, but rather than embarass anyone or bring any focus on the negative he has chosen not to include any of it in the published videos which was definitely the right thing to do.

As Richie said, the other camera view was much better.
Gun cam's are only good if you edit them after and take small bits from it.

strange u say that in the last published video I seen it scrolls across the bottom of the screen "player vents frustration on non hit taker by unloading" and u can clearly see both actions happening".

Ok first thing first. I will explain this again cause some people either can't read or just don't get it.

I decided to use a gun cam as a bit of an experiment. I wanted to see the game from a different perspective. IT IS NOT HD QUALITY. IT IS NOT AS GOOD AS MY OTHER CAMERA. IT HAS A LIMITED USE.

The battle axe is for ease of use whilst filming, that said I see nothing wrong with them. They are another tool for airsoft. No different to using a SAW( I understand the snobbery of milsim mid cap etc. but I just don't agree with it)

I didn't pay attention to the comments

Out of curiousity I notice in the 6th video (capture the church and documents) at 1.48 a guy gets hit by a bb...no hit called out??

because I had no idea which vid he was talking about. If it was the Daz incident......well that was put to bed ages ago.

I will not ' embarrass ' a player by showing a close up (so he is identifiable) not taking his hits. The 'Overkill' quote was to highlight how it can be frustrating for players thats all.

I have some real good footage of blatant non hit taking, but its stored away along with the JFK and Roswell files for future reference

No Spielberg specials this time round I am afraid. I was not the camera man yesterday so the quality of the filming is a bit ropey ( I mean more than usual) I will try to edit it up a bit and make it watchable. Should be a new one up by tomorrow. Just having a copyright queen check it out first

Nothing, was just saying your other videos were better(complement to the other videos) and rather than put up all the gun cam footage in one block, edit out small bits of action and piece them together. People might find that more interesting.

when i turned on this video was expeting to see a lot of the ground but was pleastly surpised your arms must have been kill you holding it up all the time, best gun cam video i have seen, still prefer the close up videos though keep up the good work.

That wasnt meant as a sarky comment, just saying that your other ones were super clear at 720p and this one is much less, Maybe ya should tape the good camera to the gun next time and stick a little bit of perspex in front if it.

Funny you say that Rich but I did indeed make a box to house the camera that could be attached to the BattleAxe. Mark said I looked a spanner so I gave up maybe I will resurrect the idea

i would say for the same reason a lot of other projects and events do not get sticked, there are already a ton of stickys

but hay stop posting new threads keep everything together and with the number of updates its always going to up the top

edit: you could probably get a general video thread like the photo threads stickyed as it normal the group/community threads that everyone can contribute content to are stickys ( like the photos stuff ) instead of individual projects

i have actually asked to via pm to a number of mods to have this thread stickied but in fairness they know what they are doing so I will let them get on with it.

That said I do hope its alright to not only put the links to the vids on this thread but also to the relevant sites thread in the adverts section as I feel this helps promote their site. And yes I do this for free. All I want to do is help promote airsoft. (i also enjoy video editing)

Oddy are you planning on working your way through all the sites in and around the GDA or just the odd few you play at yourself?

Oddy is away on hols for the next couple of weeks so I hope he doesn't mind me answering on his behalf.

He does plan to get round to most, if not all of the sites in the GDA but he has no schedule set out. He plays with the RATS so it will partly depend on when/where they skirmish. I know he definitely wants to visit Red Barn soon but other than that I honestly can't say.

I do plan to make as many vids from as many sites as I can visit. I will be making some more Hellfire vids shortly because that is my local. I also play with the RATS so my vids are usually dependent on where we are playing that given week.

I am shortly upgrading my camera so will be able to take much better footage.

Ok. Have got some great footage from RedBarn. Have just edited the first vid and tried to upload but have found there is a problem with my BroadBand....only getting .5 meg dl and it shud be over 8 so my upload is bunched altogether. Gonna get onto the provider to sort the prob but in my experience it could be a week to solve so don't hold your breath :mad:

On the vid front....I don't have an answer at mo. I have made around 20 attempts to upload and am trying again as I type this. If not I will ring eircom in the morning and see if they can solve it (even though they said it was fixed on Fri!) I remember now why I left eircom in the beginning!
