Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

anyone watch the documentary on David Hockney last night - while it was not the greatest production ever - i found it revealing and refreshing - in particular his understanding of the image itself - recently photography has been leaving me jaded - instead of being something i enjoy , its become something to be endured - trying to keep ideas fresh , is so difficult , certainly for my distracted mind

    Hi Baz,
could be totally off here but would you consider shooting something out of your comfort zone, or photos from a field you don't specialise in ?

Or just go get hammered and crawl home ? ;)

I have noticed in myself that I might see a photograph really like it go out and try to emulate it once that is done I no longer have any much interest in doing it again.
Some solutions might be to try something new or else put more effort into what you are doing currently.

Alternatively if you are not a pro give it a rest for a period of time and say that you are not going think about photography a week or two.

another idea would be to use your photography skills in another way alot of voluntary organisations would be delighted to get a skilled photographer on their open day.

its strange apart from 1 or 2 photographers , i feal uninspired - maybe its the saturation of photography - but am much more inspired now by painters - where it seams easier to be truly original - and I'm supposed to be studying photography next September - aghhh

As Janer , says i havnt drunk for a few years thats when i took up photography - i know if i started drinking again , photography and creativity would end - i still can take photographs its just I'm not enjoying it

Its a hard one, there is no panacea for this I fear.. maybe take a little break and explore the artists and return ?
