Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

No. It would cost nearly as much as a new TV so there is no point. The reason that is the case nowadays whereas it was not the case in the past and you had TV repair shops is the following. Back in the day a TV was built in the firstworld at first world wage rates. ie TV's were a lot more expensive than they are now taking inflation into account. It made economic sense to fix a TV as long as it wasn't a major component.

Nowadays, TV's are made in the 3rd world at 3rd world wage rates (ie. cheaper) but are repaired in the first world at first world wage rates which is why the repair is so close to the price cost of just buying a new TV.

A cracked screen is The most expensive component in the TV. Even if the damage was covered by a warranty it would only go to the warranty repair centre for someone to inspect it and say, "not worth repairing, send him a new TV"

A cracked screen caused by a fall is not covered and I am afraid you are out of luck and will have to fork out for a new TV

Unless you insured it, I think its one for the bin. The guarantee won't cover a fall.
At least you have an opportunity to get the latest 3d HD screen.

Yeah, Calibos is right, it would be deemed uneconomical to repair.

Your only hope is if you have it covered under accidental damage on your house insurace. Otherwise, you'll have to cough up for a new one yourself
