Free Gipsy Kings CD "bonus tracks" query

yesterdays Mail on Sunday had a free CD 'The Very Best of the Gipsy Kings'
all good so far. 10 tracks. bambloero. amor amor, etc.

but in small print on the CD cover, five 'bonus tracks' are listed.

They are 'sweet Rosie o'grady', 'molly malone', I'll tell me ma', 'Danny boy' and 'the rose of tralee'. and they are NOT by the gipsy kings

they are by, what sounds like 'jury's cabaret'. very schmaltzy, and no performers are credited.

    my question is WHY?

they make up 1/3 of the tracks on the album? is that significant. 5 our of 15 tracks.

is this like boy bands putting their own songs on a single to get part of the royalty?
was there spare space on the CD?
why is it in small writing? are they rightly ashamed of it?
is it the mail on Sunday singers or something?

anyone out here know much about music licencing?

Would it be that their record company paid for the distribution in return for their 5 songs being chained to the Gypsy Kings songs?
