You can't beat it. Nothing tastes quite like it, or even half as good, yet in the supermarket, the shelves are full of sh*tey substitutes - Dairy "spreads", Low-fat "spreads", Utterly not Buttery, stuff that claims to lower your cholesteral etc etc. What the hell is wrong with people. Real butter is savage!

Some of the stuff they try to pass off as butter is a disgrace. You can't spread it, tastes horrible and is nearly white in colour not the golden yellow it should be.:( Mmm mmm mmm saturated fat!!

Unsalted butter doesn't keep too well outside the fridge, but it's delicious - I love the French 'President' butter on baguettes.

Though it was far from poncey Frog bread & butter that I was reared!
