Deleting a thread?

I recently posted something that has become a massive issue to a friend of mine, I got the advice I was looking for to help her. However she has now become familiar with boards.ie and I worry she'll find my thread and not like the fact that I made her problem 'public.' Can I delete the thread entirely?

You will need to PM the moderator of the forum in question and they can delete the thread for you.
