Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    HI,

I have a PC and a laptop at home. Pc is running Vista Ultimate, laptop is running Vista business. Until yesterday, I had them sharing files sucessfully using the Public folders. I decided to upgrade my laptop to 64bit (PC is still running 32 bit), and now am haivng trouble sharing files.

From my PC, I can access my laptop public folder no problem, but when I try to get to my PC from my laptop, I get an instant error message:
    "Windows can not access //Jeff-PC
Check the spelling of the name, or there may be a problem with your network
    Error 0x80070005
    Access Denied"

I have not changed any settings on the PC, it is set to allow everyone full access to the public folder.
I believe all settings are the same as they were before upgrading.
From google research, I do not think it is the 64/32 bit issue, but am at a loss as to what it could be.

    Any suggestions?

    Thanks in andvance,
    Jeff

Is there a firewall on the computer that might be blocking access?

The Firewall on both PCs have been turned off.
