Rafa needs to grow a neck beard. These goatees are neither here nor there.

We all know what happened to the last guy to host a "Transformation..." show.

Rafa's bad and all, but don't be wishing that on the guy.

Sure people will point to such incidentals as net transfer spend, an aging squad, a succession of injuries to top players and general dissent in the camp. However deep down everyone knows that the real issue is the goatee.

I personally think the time has come for the safety razor to be redeployed, for the sake of Liverpool FC and it’s place at the pinnacle of the English game, the goatee must go.

Can't wait for the day when United fall from grace. This is going to come back to you in a very bad way some day :D

I like where you're going with this, it's a good look. It does mean keeping the goatee though, may not be optimal strategy.

I thik it's been proved beyond doubt that Rafa's goatee did have a positive impact on the team's performance. While this influence has waned, I think a move back to bald-faced Rafa would be a mistake. His facial hair just needs a new lease on life.

I suggest that he consults some of these fine gentlemen for ideas.

My earlier thought was keep the goatee, and get fit.

But to be fair, the chap probably doesn't have time for that, so now I'm thinking, grow the beard and start smoking a pipe.

This also got me thinking, are managers ever shown smoking in the dugout? surely it happens!

Not sure if he'd go for this style. I give you Trifon Ivanov "The Bulgarian Wolf"

Plenty of warnings were provided, and subsequently ignored.

SOTS is taking a break from the forum so for all other posters keep this thread on topic or you can join him on his break

Pre-beard, Rafa had magic powers, since he grew it, they have disappeared.

    He should cut it off.

    wait....

all this time I've been describing myself in my online profiles as "Devilishly handsome with a stunning goatee" when I should have been saying "Devilishly handsome with a stunning Van Dyke"

mind you, someone could easily read the latter and get completely the wrong idea about what's on offer :D

Be careful how you spell that one you wouldn't want a stray s after the t in Goatee.
    Also really off topic

    Penis van Lesbian
A good looking man walked into an agent's office in Hollywood and said 'I want to be a movie star.'

Tall, handsome and with experience on Broadway, he had the right credentials.

The agent asked, 'What's your name?'

The guy said, 'My name is Penis van Lesbian.'

The agent said, 'Sir, I hate to tell you, but in order to get into Hollywood , you are going to have to change your name.'

'I will NOT change my name! The van Lesbian name is centuries old, I will not disrespect my grandfather by changing my name. Not ever.'

The agent said, 'Sir, I have worked in Hollywood for years......you will NEVER go far in Hollywood with a name like Penis van Lesbian! I'm telling you, you will HAVE TO change your name or I will not be able to represent you.'

'So be it! I guess we will not do business together' the guy said and he left the agent's office.

FIVE YEARS LATER... The agent opens an envelope sent to his office.

Inside the envelope is a letter and a check for $50,000. The agent is awe-struck, who would possibly send him $ 50,000? He reads the letter enclosed...

'Dear Sir, Five years ago, I came into your office wanting to become an actor in Hollywood , you told me I needed to change my name. Determined to make it with my God-given birth name, I refused. You told me I would never make it in Hollywood with a name like Penis van Lesbian. After I left your office, I thought about what you said. I decided you were right.. I had to change my name. I had too much pride to return to your office, so I signed with another agent. I would never have made it without changing my name, so the enclosed check is a token of my appreciation.

    Thank you for your advice.

    Sincerely,

    Dick van Dyke
