Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Hi i regularly read threads over in the irish economy forum and have been noticing the likely hood that we will need to be financially bailed out in the future (fingers crossed we wont).

Germany seems to pop up alot as the main benifactor for these bail outs and it seems they arent too keen to bail out countries that were careless and i understand that. But do you think we could become "slaves" to a foreign country due to our debts.

Certainly. We are mostly in that stage now.Maybe not a foreign country right now.But foreign state/entity i think so yes,its already done on two levels.
One semi legally(Lisbon treaty) the other more covertly(bilderberg/trilateral commission).
Bailouts are hilarious.Like throwing more water on a sinking boat will make it float higher.
It looks to me with the boat analogy the people supposed to be bailing us out are outside the boat on a big cruise ship running back and forth laughing uncontrollably with buckets of water from their swimming pool to throw it out over us lil people struggling on the boat.
"There you go lads! *snicker* Wait!!....... il go get another bucket!!..Dont worry lads we only charge 2% and you can do whatever you like with the water."
