I have been away from Ireland several years, had Aib before, and it carried negative balance -200 eur by some direct debits when i left the Ireland. I now found out that they have closed my account at AIB.
I have also Halifax current account and now need a new bank account.
Will this -200 eur debt at AIB affect somehow for me getting new current account?
I never had any loans in Ireland or overdrafts etc.

Reading from the ICB that they only carry remarks if you have outstanding loanpayments etc.
