Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    HELP!!!!!!!!!!!

Managed to damage my camera tonight. As stated it's a Nikon D300.
Whilst replacing a CF card in the slot I somehow contrived to apparently bend one (or more) of the internal 'receptor' pins.

Questions!!!! , Has anybody else done this before?. Is it a feasible home repair or definitely a Repair shop job? Any idea on cost, turnaround time or recommended repair agents?
Bought from Jessops 16mths ago approx btw.

    Thanks in advance.....

It's a job for Nikon...they've a repair centre in Co.Meath, although the work will most likely be carried out in the UK

    SLR Service Centre
    Rathmolyon
    Co Meath
    Eire
    Tel (Eire) 04695 57151

Edit:I wouldn't advise try to bend the pins back yourself as they will most likely snap off.

    Update...

Mini screwdriver.. gently moved the offending pin back and inserted card to see if it would straighten it.
So far so good - it's working for now anyway.
By my reckonng the worst I could do was break something that was already broken. Nothing ventured nothing gained!!

Fingers crossed now for the next couple of weeks....

I did the same to a card reader this week, hubbie fixed it with a tweezers.
