Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I have a very large mkv file and when i convert it using mkv2mob the sound is screwed..

Im looking for another software that will retain the perfect sound and picture quality and can convert to avi or some format that the ps3 can read

    Easiest option is here.
    http://www.afterdawn.com/guides/archive/how_to_play_mkv_content_on_playstation_3_ps3.cfm

Have tried it myself and it works great.

Although, you do have to watch out for the makeup of your audio track. Sometimes you might need to do some light conversion, from one format to another, like aac to ac3. Once you do that though, you'll have no probs using the method linked above.

I use GOTSent to convert MKV's for my 360, should work with the PS3 as well: http://www.videohelp.com/tools/GOTSent

You will lose well over half of the detail from a well encoded x264 (mkv container i am assuming) in the conversion to avi. And thats if you keep the file size. If you half the file size or more you will lose ~70-80% of the detail of the x264 encoded file.

    Why avi?
Is it for a console? Try XenonMKV to convert to mp4. Works for both 360 and PS3.
There are several demuxers about, such as avidemux, to change containers if that doesn't suit.
