Wondering if I need health Insurance

    Do we need health insurance? Just wondering as my husband healthcare is up for renewal and he has been paying into it for 12 years but never claimed on it? I am with VHI and will keep it purely for having children.

    We had our first child lately and I went public so didn't even use the insurance:rolleyes:

    It's insurance... :) you may never need it, but if you do then you might be glad you had it..

    I keep mine, as we have two small children and it's worth it for peace of mind that if they do need it, then we can get seen by specialists quicker etc. Also given the illnesses that children will pick up, you can claim (depending on policies) a large percentage of the costs of doctors visits back..

    Personal choice really.. No right or wrong.
