You don't need to use the .exe, just go into the site and simply click on the channel buttons at the bottom of the screen, simples!

Alternatively, use a proxy program like TOR which will mask you with an English IP address. This is probably the best way as you can then watch BBC channels on the proper BBC website. More info on other MAC proxies here: http://forums.macrumors.com/archive/index.php/t-679555.html

Is it accurate or just a load of biased shíte? Might watch it.

It wasn't biased at all really, more informative than anything else, documenting the experience of a couple of people taking MDMA over the course of a night and what they're feeling, following it up with medical explanations as to why they're feeling that way and what is happening to their body. Really interesting.

Have that recorded actually, must watch it later. Getting Sky+ in December was one of my better moves during 2010...

Just flicking through the channels and I turned on "The All Ireland Talent Show". You have GOT to be kidding me. I mean, seriously wtf...

  • Registered Users Posts: 18,625 ✭✭✭✭BaZmO*

Ha that's weird. I logged on just to say the same. Four yolks screeching like cats being neutered without anesthetic.

Irelands Got Talent(?) eh, no it doesn't!

    Haha, great minds! :p

Yeah the 4 sisters in red, you'd definitely give it to a few of them, but honestly I actually had to change channel I could not bear to watch/listen any longer. However a bigger laugh than the contestants, are the judges. It's actually like some form of comedy skit taking the piss, its so bad.

I wish a terminal illness upon every one of the judges.

I've switched it back on out of strange curiosity. Honestly, you'd have to be borderline deaf not to realise that none of the people on this show can sing in tune, at all. I'm miles from any form of expert but I can tell when someone is singing out of tune. Why is it that apparently no one on this show is able to?

Yeah I know that, but I can never get a decent stream for a full match. I watched all three games today in perfect quality.

Yeah don't know where this was pulled from either...

the idjia stuff looked like it was written by someone who clearly couldn't speak or write english (although they tried to sound really smart but ended up coming across like a Nigerian scammer).
Frankie was in email correspondence with the guy, pointed out the literacy problems, and the guy wrote back 'your the illiterate one'.

    You couldn't make it up.

Is the Japanese work ethic not borne out of their post world rebuild and the introduction of more efficient production methods among other things?

Sorry, forgot to get back to this...

From what I have read of Japanese history, society today is very much a direct influence of the samurai code - there was a period of about 500 years of which was military rule/chronic warfare and when this ended (around the 17th century) the ruling elders feared there would be a loss of the warrior way in their culture which would be a threat to social order etc. The values and policies of the samurai were then very much adopted as a way of life - at the same time they had also enforced the national isolation policy which was for a period of about 200 years - up to 1854. A great book on the subject is 'Code of the Samurai' - originally written 300 years ago as a way to ensure the samurai society remained part of their culture...

Another good one is 'Hagakure' -

    http://www.amazon.co.uk/Hagakure-Book-Samurai-Yamamoto-Tsunetomo/dp/4770026129/ref=pd_sim_b_1

The samurai and a lot about Japanese history is a fascination of mine, something I'd love to study actually if I had the time, money etc etc.........

It's something I'd love to try myself. Must try sourcing the materials to see how much it all costs.

Other than the "silicone rubber (Smooth On OOMOO 30 or OOMOO 25)" and the "casting resin (eg Smooth On Task #4)" everything else would cost pennies.
