Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    i'm a guitarist of some experience seeking a bassist with a solid grounding in jazz to spar with! im not a full time musician but i probably devote as much time to practise as most professionals...I'm pretty serious about jazz have gigged quite a bit up until a couple of years ago at which point i decided to quit chasing unsatisfying gigs which paid peanuts. Now i feel hungry to play again and so i am seeking a double or electric bassist for whom paid gigs aren't an immediate concern. I know a couple of drummers who are interested in jumping on board to form a trio. I live in the city centre and have a room in my apartment to play in..so if you are someone who has a decent amount of jazz experience and who perhaps like myself wishes to get back in touch with their playing for the sake of fun/ experimentation/ improvement, please give me a shout.

    dear moderator: i hope u will be able to keep this post in the jazz forum as it will most likely go unnoticed in the bands/ musicians one!

    Hi there. You're still looking? I'm a 36yo bassist, I've been trying to form a band for quite some time without any luck though. I'd be interested in having a jam, I have loads of material written, link to some of it is in my sig.
