Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I have a good few rolls of the free unicare film lying in my freezer at the moment. I can bring some down if anybody is interested, but as I have no freezer bag, they'll be thawed out when I get down.

Let me know if you're interested.

I suppose i had better start wondering about the drive....

Coming from Kerry through limerick roscrea would it be better to turn off at portlaoise and head for tullamore or is there a shorted easier run?

    thanks

Once you get to roscrea, turn left at the third roundabout and head for birr, once in birr it's just a short drive to tullamore. There is a new road there and charville is on this side of tullamore so you should be quick enough getting there :)

If anyone has any colorful torches, glow sticks or lightsaber type things bring them along. Could be interesting for light painting when the sun goes down :D

I'm going to have a look in to see what I can get on the cheap.

2 euro stores have glow sticks. I forgot to go back in while shopping for party supplies on the weekend.

    Hi everybody!
I'm looking forward to meeting you all this weekend and being all clicky. Just wondering if anyone has any space for a lift from Dublin or if anyone wants to public transport it with me?

Is the spare tent still available? Then I'd love to make a loan of it.

Or otherwise would someone else have one for me?

I have space if you need, I'll be leaving from the Marino so if you're on the northside or can meet in the city centre that should be grand. I'll have one space left if anyone else needs it.

Oh, also have a spare sleeping bag if anyone needs one.

That'd be great DutchGuy. Thanks! I'm in town end of Christchurch so town would be easiest place for me. Anyway, I'll PM you my details and then I need to find out what sandwiches/cakes you'll be needing to give you energy for the drive.

I was told "I want never got" as a child but I say to hell with these rules! Cakes for all! And special cake for Tallon!

I'm getting exceptionally excited about this weekend. And worried that I'll forget a crucial something. I won't forget the cake though so that'll be alright :pac:

I want to sniffily say, "I never forget my camera!" But I have learnt that that attitude usually leads to ironic forgetfulness.

I actually hadn't written camera or kit on my list so thanks for the reminder Fionn!

Just getting my stuff together in advance of the weekend.

I can give a lift if anyone is stuck. I'm coming from Greystones along the N11 north bound & the M50 as far as the Lucan turn off.

Is there a specific area for tents, like beside your car? How does this normally work?

    PS:

Reason I ask about tents is the weather forecast looks nasty for the weekend so I may opt to sleep in my car instead :D

We will be camping out back and cars will be round front.
    The weather should be good.

Just wondering if we have any musicians in the group. Might be nice if someone had a guitar or something.

    Just a thought.

For the record, I have no musical ability.

I can't play guitar anymore because of the aul arthritis :(

But I can bring one if needed

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,770 ✭✭✭Sebzy

Despite what people say the two pianos in the morning room are not playable. It's the combination of no maintenance(60 years) and delicate internals. We have been asked to stay well clear but I'm sure if anyone fancys tuning them up your more than welcome once you pass it by Bonnie first.

Well I'm sure someone might have an electric piano somewhere.

Am i the only person on here with a real name? :p

I can also bring a guitar, though I don't know all that many songs. So someone else may need to play it!
I'll bring some shakers or a tambourine or something too. I know loads of songs on those :p

    As for me: yes:p

But honestly: To remember the combination of 40 faces + nick names + real names is the part I'm not at all looking forward to. Glad I know already a few but still not enough...
