Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hey guys,

I recently downloaded the imapmyride app and tried it out last night. Its fair handy but its a pain trying to take the phone out of a back pocket to check.

Anyone use or know of any good bike mounts? Found a few on amazon but look fairly flimsy.

    Sound!

I can't help, but I was thinking about the same thing myself last week. I bookmarked this but haven't bought one yet.

ya I had at that alright, one issue I also had was that the phone was out in the elements with no protection.

This looks like a very good option but amazon will not ship to Ireland

I've just emailed them to see if they'll ship the item themselves to me

Just got a reply from Velo trac and they will ship to Ireland if you buy direct off their site.

Was looking at the BioLogic iPhone mount but that VeloTrac one seems like better value.

The big issue for me using any kind of tracking App on the iPhone is battery life. I've been trying out MapMyRide and Cyclemeter and they both use a lot of power. I've found that on a spin longer than 2/3 hours I end up with a dead phone.

I've only recently started using mapmyride, I hadn't noticed a massive battery use but then I was only out for an hour.

    Thanks for the heads up!

I use Runkeeper Pro, it has a cycling setting too.

Gives me all the info I need i.e. every km/mile you get a breakdown of overall time, total distance, pace etc.

Considered an iPhone mount, but haven't seen anything sturdy enough yet.
