Drunken fool walks into Canal????

So I was on the bus by the canal by the porterhouse between Phibsboro and Drumcondra and saw a young man with his eyes closed,obviously dunk walk into the canal. Did anyone else see this?

I'd guess quite a few drunk people have died that way,I know a few dead bodies have been taken from the canal around Baggot st and Leeson st over the years.
