Anyone successful at NCC test but not getting interview

    Is there anyone in the same boat? Successful at the 2010 written assessment but not making it through interview just because there are more successful candidates as expected????
    Help me out there, i feel at a loss....

    Apparently last year everyone who scored over 130 in the test got an interview. 900 candidates were interviewed and 40% went on to reach the merit list.

    This year they are only interviewing around 600 people

    This is all speculative but some people have said the reason for this is either due to the work to rule thing (as interview only in dublin this year and it was in cork and galway last year) or more people have done well in the test than usual and they have raised the points needed to do the interview. Some people have said it could simply be who applied to the cao first.

    Whatever the reason is, it sucks. Im genuinely sorry that you dont have an interview, id be really pissed off if it were me. You should ring the pas and ask maybe?

    indeed this is sickening... i rang the NCC and the PAS but none want to be held responsible for it.... ironically the letter sent out to us doesnt have a signature too....
