Yeah it is possible:

If you do not use all your free transfers, the remaining free transfers roll over to the next round. These are cumulative throughout the tournament, and will span over the unlimited free transfer period between the group and knockout stages.

I made mine though. Got rid of Vidic for Paolo Ferreira.

Buffon is definitely out for the net game and from the reports I've read, there's a chance of him making the knockout stages should Italy get there. Italy play New Zealand next, so I've decided to go with Marchetti.

Anyone know what the deal is with Fabregas not getting his game? Pretty sure its been reported that hes over his injury.

Took a punt on the Paraguay keeper (vs SLK and NZ). Sky Sports story paints the picture as if it were surprising Buffon missed training. No point leaving him in in case, or bringing in the sub, if he actually makes it back for either game, then it would cost another sub getting the Italian reserve out.

Hedged my bets and went with Paraguayan keeper who conceded the second least amount of goals in South American qualifiers.

Hopefully between Howard and him, they'll manage a clean sheet this round. Freed up an extra 3.4 million to upgrade elsewhere too.

I have 10 players playing over 2 days this time around, so my a little worried about having my Capt options restricted...

Fabregas is not a guranteed starter for Spain. Iniesta, Alonso and Xavi are ahead of him so he will only be a sub unless one of them gets injured. Iniesta limped off today tho and he still didnt come on.

They played 4-5-1 with Iniesta on the left, theres plenty of room for Fabregas in that squad. Busquets was in his position so I assume hes just not fully fit to start?

I've been following this thread since Friday last while I waited for my soccer access to be granted!

I messed up my first round completely before I understood the subs/captain rotating jazz. I had Neuer and on the bench while I waited for Buffon to register his monstrous total :mad:

I'm on point for rd 2 though, still only 14 adrift in my league of 30 heads so all to play for! Had an absolute dream team at rd 1... if only things went to form!!

I'm down a place on the Boards league to 29th, 14th in Boards head to head but I have stayed at 1st on the Football Identity League.

Diego Forlan is an absolute legend, i wish i had put my money where my mouth is and put him in my team...always delighted to see him do well.

Hopefully Messi or Rooney will match his 13 point haul...

Forlan killed me tonight. Some of the chaps in my league 40-50 points out in front immediately, when I was only 14 adrift earlier before (necessary) transfer costs kicked in!

I think it's hard to get an exact idea of where you are overall until the end of the rounds and with it falling between matches today made it a bit trickier

93 points after round one is a decent return but didnt do the best on the subs management front with 13 extra points sitting on the subs bench

Suarez with a decent 8 points already in this round - had him as captain but hoping for better from my captain.

Gone for captain Malouda over Evra and Chung Yong tomorrow not the toughest choice as I think both teams in France Mexico will have to attack. Chung Yong is playing the Argies so
fingers crossed for Messi and co to have a very quiet one tomorrow with the Koreans high intensity tempo giving them a bit of bother.

Day after my captain choice is between Rooney, Johnson, Schweinsteiger, Lahm or Howard. Leaning towards the English as I think Serbia will give Germany more of a game than Algeria will give the English. Could see Johnson having a lot of room but if Rooney is going to catch fire it could be in this game. Hmm

You can sub in Malouda, but if he gets less than Pienaar, you can't sub Pienaar back in. Once a player is subbed out when he has played, he can't be subbed into your 11. Once a player on the bench has played, he can't be swapped in either.

What are the chances Bendtner wont get a game? Coz I can sub off one of them for Bendtner, then when he doesnt play, Forlan might get swapped in at the end of the round.

No, once you make a single substitution there are no automatic substitutions for the week. The only possible way for Forlan to come in is if you make no changes for the gameweek and one or more of Rooney, Messi or Van Persie do not play. Then Forlan may come in as an automatic substitution.

As far as i know you can make a sub up until 15 mins before kick off, maybe im wrong because ive always made my substitutions and changed captaincy the night before.

They usually name their team an hour before kick off so you should have enough time to change the players
