Retrofit slate hooks - any such things?

Hi, I'm looking for slate hooks that can be retrofitted ie pushed up under natural slate. So even if they crack they won't slide down the roof. I'm guessing there is no such thing, but maybe I'm wrong? It's not for my place, luckily I hooked my Brazilian slates but another house nearby has slates cracking. Cheers! S
