Are there any venues that regularly host a Silent Disco in Dublin? If so, please give details. I'm from the sunny south but would make the trek up country for such an event.

    Just lights? lol

Actually I think everyone wears headphones (wireless) with an FM receiver, and the tunes are broadcast rather than played through speakers?

Everyone wears headphones. They have them at festivals. Very fun to watch!

Everyone is given headphones as they enter the venue. THere are two or more DJs playing at the same time but each of them transmits their sets at different frequency instead of blasting it out over the club's sound system. The individuals in the crowd can switch channels on their headsets going back and forth between the different DJ sets as they please. It's Awesome!

Thanks a bunch. My zany-meter is now shot. It went right off the scale there. :(

smirnoff are doing a silent disco tour in clubs around the country at the minute. theyre great fun, especially when the drink kicks in, and people start shouting to communicate with eachother. "im dying for a piss, back in a minute" when the entire place can hear them!

click on the events tab for dates etc.
