A discussion on mobil phones in AH reminded me of a watch I've got.

In 1988 I bought a Casio G-Shock in Lebanon for (I think) US$40- which is still on its original battery.

I have to say, its rarely used and probably haven't used the light (for the display on it in years).

I'm guessing this would be unusual?.

(I can post a photo of the watch if anyone wants).

I've an old seiko the same age on its original battery too :) If you dont use the light or mad functions they last much much longer than quartz watches with hands.

Hell I have a sharp calculator from 1982 on its original battery!

I've a casio watch I bought(not sure on the model) in 1997, still have the original battery, don't use the light anymore. I've gone through many a strap alright. Wear it everyday.

    :D
