    Hi All

sorry i could not see if there was a thread already on this. i am session player but hav been in england for a while. someone mentioned to me there was a row between comhaltas and the clontarf.

a quick google led me to a bunch of name calling that made the lisbon treaty debate look like a reasonable discussion.

does anyone know whats going on?

You're right -- not likely to see a sensible discussion of this anywhere!

Comhaltas' statement about what happened is here:

    http://comhaltas.ie/press_room/detail/clontarf/

    Clontarf's is here:

    http://www.cluaintarbh.net/dissolution.htm

Full disclaimer: I do some work for Comhaltas, including at Clasaċ, the theatre in Clontarf. So obviously I'm not claiming to have any sort of objective opinion!

At this point there are two functioning Clontarf branches -- one using the new building for activities, one refusing to do so.

That's all I'm going to get into -- perhaps we'll see some more internet fireworks now!

    thats terrible!!

The fact that they felt the need to broadcast it over the internet is a bit sad...

Mod warning: Lets be 100% sure not to have any similar flame wars/discussions here

    Thanks.

What's the latest on this story? Has there been any resolution?

    I think silence means "no".
