Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Winning a trophy. It looked weird lifting a trophy to be honest but it was really really special.

Chris Hughton has been my highlight of the season. He's gonna need a whole lot of luck next season.

Roy Hodgson and Fulham have been amazing this season and would love them to go all the way in Europe.

Motherwell 6-6 Hibernian - Mental last 15 mins of that game.

The Manchester Derby's. All of them. Brilliant viewing.

Alex McLeish and the job he has done at Birmingham this season.

Top V bottom in the FA Cup. Unbelievable mismatch.

Somebody different in 4th. Thankfully something a bit different.

Ruud Van Nistelrooy comes on to make his first real appearance for Hamburg and scores 2 in 90 seconds.

Seamus Coleman against Spurs..no video of it about :(.

    Bayern against United...brilliant.

Mladen Petric's freekick against Fulham/His bicycle kick against Standard...top class.

Motherwell 6-6 Hibs, what a f**king game that was.

    Fulham v Juventus.

Lucas doing a passable impression of Torres against Benfica!

I nearly fell off my chair with shock and delight. I think he liked it too.

Guti's backheel or ''heel of God'' at the Riazor against Depor and the pure elation he showed at finally winning there.

Barca's first half performance against Arsenal at the Emirates.
The beautiful game was truely beautiful for 30 minutes or more. The best football I can remember seeing, probably since the Ajax team of the 90s

Frank Lampard having to take a penalty 3 times in a row against West Ham & scoring each time.

Pepe being the first man to maul N'gog after he scored against Man Utd. What a team player! Made me shed a tear seeing that much team spirit from him

Was there for that and I (along with about 5,000 other very pissed off Chelsea fans) were nearly ready to kill the ref by the time Lamps 'scored' the third time. Just shows what a cool, collected, utter professional Lampard is. Taking a penalty once when you're team is losing is hard enough. But three times???

Drogba's free kick against Arsenal in the Emirates to make it 3-0... Fukken dedly.

Drogba's second against Arsenal (sorry Frisbee, Pepe LeFrits, Leninbenjamin and any other Arsenal fans out there!!! I just love Drogba's goals, and unfortunately for you lot, he always seems to bang them in agianst youse!:o) in the Bridge... He just kept going and going and going and going AND HE SCORES! (that is an exact quote of a commentator).

    Chelsea 7-1 Aston Villa
    Portsmouth 0-5 Chelsea
    Chelsea 5-0 Blackburn Rovers
    Chelsea 1-0 Man United
    Chelsea 2-0 Liverpool
    Chelsea 7-2 Sunderland
    Chelsea 7-0 Stoke City
    and of course....
    Chelsea 8-0 Wigan Athletic

I'll be back in a while, hopefully to add the Cup Final to this list!:D

Trevor Welsh getting mixed up between Babel and N'gog for at least 5 mins when Babel scored for Pool in the Europa League.

"And it's N'gog with the goal"

5 minutes later a graphic appears on the bottom of the screen.

"Actually it was Babel with the goal"

    Muppets.

    N'Gog v Utd, including Pep's reaction.

    it's not even close.

    followed by Torres v Utd.

it shows how bad our season is when that game is far and away my favourite moment of the season.

Jack Rodwell striding thru the Man U defense to score when Everton won 3-1 at goodison!

Biggest highlight for me has been Fulham's run in Europe , lets hope they can win it. Would be a crazy year for the club.

Was happy to see both Leeds & Newcastle gain promotion with Leeds leaving it till the last bloody day after looking like they had walked it at Christmas.

Mourinho's celebration in the Nou Camp.

Was happy to see Spurs get 4th when it was out of Liverpool's hands. They have been there and abouts for a while now. Also, that cracker Rose got against Arsenal.

Barca vs Arsenal. Such good football in both games.

I have to admit, the Utd v City game (4 - 3) from earlier in the season was memorable, and for a neutral one of the most exciting games I've watched in ages. From a Spurs point of view, beating Arsenal and Chelsea in 3 days and of course Crouch getting the goal that sealed 4th spot against City.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 45,630 ✭✭✭✭Mr.Nice Guy

Owen's winner against Man City in the derby is probably my favourite as he was just the ideal guy to step up and do that.

I also loved the late winners from Rooney and Scholes against City. Amazing that it happened three times in the season.

The game against Arsenal at the Emirates also stands out along with the beautiful goal from Rooney.

Aside from United it ws great to see Fulham make it to the final. Messi's destruction of Arsenal at the Nou Camp was also special.

Also Drogba getting the golden boot.

Beating Man U at Old Trafford with an offside goal.

Beating Man U, Liverpool and Arsenal twice each.

    Bridge not shaking Terry's hand.

Forlán scoring the crappest of goals (in the first leg) to beat Liverpool.

Forlán scoring in the second leg too.

Rooney goal against Arsenal at the Emirates was magic.

Nani flick and cross for the own goal in the same game.

    Scholesy late winner againist City.

Fulhams win over Juventus was also brilliant.

I think this was pretty good season. Some of the games I enjoyed most probably weren't the ones with the best football just the ones with a bit of excitement or talking points. Anyway here's what I liked:

    Underdog moments:
Portsmouth's extra time winner v Tottenham
Reading's injury time equaliser v Liverpool
Reading's extra time winner v Liverpool
Wigan 3 in ten v Arsenal

    Great goals:
    Robben's goal v United
    Joe Cole's backheel v United
    Ashley Cole's volley on Sunday
Danny Rose's debut goal v Arsenal

    Great Games:
    Arsenal v Barcelona
    Inter v Barcelona
    United v City
    Chelsea v Villa (unbelievable scoreline!)

    Great performances:
    Messi v Arsenal
    Fabergas's 20 mins v Villa
    Lampard v Villa

    Random stuff:
Bridge not shaking the hand of god
Barcelona showing how petty they are with the sprinklers
Wenger in the stands v United? Was it United?
Adebayor running the length of the pitch

    Worst of the season:
    Debt ruining the game
    The Togo team bus
Tabloids taking stuff too far (people may not like Ash or JT so will say it was grand but it was taken too far, we'll see what's said if the rumours about Steven Gerrard are true and printed)
    Ramsey's leg hanging off

    Roll on 2010/2011!
