I thought Megan Fox was a lot prettier a few years ago.
Seems very sharp featured now or something.

That would be because Megan Fox had a lot of plastic surgery to make her look the way she does now. Good result though.

In my (a woman's opinion and therefore purely aesthetic):
    Katie Holmes
    Colleen Rooney
    Myleene Klass
    Scarlett Johannsson
    Billie Piper
    Nadine Coyle
    Cameron Diaz
    Diana Vickers
    Georgia May Jagger
And the most overrated of all: Christine Bleakley (glamouress yes, good presenter, maybe, but stunningly beautiful no. Quite odd features, mishapen nose and lots of lines for her age).

Lol. Just because you personally don't find her attractive doesn't mean she has a mad gammy face.

Did anyone mention Uma Thurman yet? That is one butt ugly, non-acting, skinny ass bitch. I can't stand her. It's not just because she has a horse face, it's because she's a complete moron with no talent whatsoever. I hope she falls into an open manhole, gets covered in piss and shíte, then eaten alive by sewer rats.

Word is spreading. She's a fox.

I never got the big deal with Halle Berry either. She's not unattractive by any means, but I never thought she was particularly hot either.

Looks better with her hair long, but still.
Being a complete lunatic doesn't help either imo.

We are the wrong generation to care. Our experience of her is seeing her on the late late as an old woman.

I agree with you and would add that she manages to be skinny but saggy at the same time. But when she was younger she was quite unusual and had a certain "look". I would Cameron Diaz in that category too. Neither of them have aged well though. Maybe quite big, slightly unusual features are good for Hollywood films but don't necesssarily age well or look good off screen? Neither of them are that old either so it can't all be down to ageing.

    Lol

People here seem to be confusing "Someone I don't fancy" with "ugly".

She made those millions because of an amazing body, skin, and to many, face.

95% of Hollywood actresses. A five-minute walk through Dulbin city centre and I’d have spotted about 50 chicks more suited to giving me a shtalk.

But then, I’ve always thought cuteness trumps hotness, and the former isn’t nearly as sought-after in the world of cinema.

Somebody said she is really ugly looking (no mention of personality) which is just laughable http://images.askmen.com/galleries/model/naomi-campbell/pictures/naomi-campbell-picture-1.jpg. That person may not fancy her, but that still doesn't mean she's objectively ugly. I don't fancy George Clooney but I know he's obviously not ugly.
That person also asked why she made so much money as a model - I offered a not particularly obscure explanation, never said it was right or wrong. Looks like you're just looking for an argument. She's very tall, leggy, slim, great bone structure, very good skin and teeth - this is why she's a model, this is why she's made millions.
Since you seem to know what men like, think and feel, perhaps you could enlighten us as to who is overrated for us?
Could you point out where I said I know what men like, think and feel?

I don't see the need for acting the dick and taking out your obvious issues with women on people on a message-board.

Most famous people are overrated - the very concept on being famous for looks is strange, as no-one is universally attractive.

So people like Megan Fox CAN be said to be overrated -although almost all straight men would!

    Totally agree.

This thread seems to have descended into the usual male insecurity though, lets bash some women because we'd never have a chance with them in a million years, typical AH fare with posters calling people like Naomi Campbell physically ugly. As someone else pointed out, if any of the posters who called a woman ugly was actually face to face with that woman, they wouldn't know what to do with themselves.

Also, I already did say on this thread I personally think Julia Roberts is over-rated looking.

I'd agree with you on that. She simply has a very large mouth and dazzling smile, which otherwise excuses quite bland and not particularly symmetrical features.

I do think though that to meet many of these women in person would be quite different. A lot of the stars mentioned apparantly have great charisma - Uma Thurman is purported to be one.

I don't think Dudess has issues with men. I think she has issues with women begin called physically ugly, as do I. She has entered into the spirit of the thread by talking about female celebrities who are over-rated (which is what the thread is about, not about how ugly some women are).

I think you have an issue though with Dudess in that she is not acting like either the quiet, meek woman without an opinion; or a man-hating 'feminazi' on her high horse.

We are allowed to say that saying women are ugly isn't right or fair without being shouted down for having 'issues'.

Of course I don't. Uwala obviously has issues with women though, as has Gunsfortoys. And two other AH regulars. They are the kind of people who consider a woman who objects to their hateful crap a man-hater though, even if she has never shown any inclination of hating men.

I wouldn't say it's a gender thing Feeona - I just find it hilarious to read actual adults referring to anyone who clearly isn't ugly (male or female) as ugly (thought that was more of a 13-year-old thing?) Of course they may not personally find them attractive, but nobody's saying they're not supposed to, just that not finding someone attractive is a very different thing to them being ugly. It seems more like resentment that they're successful and wealthy.

Or men - although I know this thread is focusing specifically on women.

You used the term "LOL" to first respond to the post, obscure enough for me anyway. I could not be arsed going through your 20,000 odd posts to find were you seem to think you know what men like, think or feel. You seem to have quoted a number of them on this thread and dismissed their opinions and told them "the right way of thinking". Just because a bloke has an opinion of a woman does not give you the right to claim you know better.

As for saying I am "acting like a dick", again this proves my point.

Trollish? Again your obvious issues with men shine through whenever an opinion of a woman is shared.

Oh dear. I'd engage with you if you were actually able to argue without resorting to: twisting what I say, cherry-picking/ignoring, making stuff up (the Kevin Myers thread - wtf?), wildly exaggerating. All that stuff trolls do.

Oh yeah, feminist as a perjorative - instant dumbness alert. I'm not a feminist by the way.
It's only you who made it a gender thing - if a woman said Brad Pitt was hideously ugly, same thing would apply. Oh wait, I said that, but you, in your quest to find man-hating where there isn't any... ignored it. What was so obscure about my model explanation btw?

As also said, a woman not sitting there quietly doing her nails while a tiny but miserable contingent of men spew venom about women... is not a man-hater.
