Replacing a chain

I've got my hands on a 1970's puch prince. It's got a 5 speed simplex derailleur and it's in alright condition, bottom bracket is fine as are hubs, frame is rusty but I'm stripping it down and re-spraying anyway. The only real problem is the chain which has rusted beyond salvage and needs replacement.

Thing is, I'm pretty new to bicycle renovation and repair I've never replaced a chain before? Is it hard? Will I be able to find a chain that will fit this bike or have the standard sizes changed since it was made? I have a park chain tool (I think this is the one http://www.parktool.com/products/detail.asp?cat=5&item=CT-5) but that's about it. Any recommendations on a chain that will fit or tips or links to relevant tutorials?
Or am I better off bringing to a bike shop and avoiding the carnage?

Thanks in advance for any replies.

This chain should do. There's not much to look out for, to be honest - once you've had some practice using the chain-tool to push rivets out and in, you should be fine.

Don't mean to hi-jack your thread but I'm curious... are there different widths of chain or are you safe enough getting say a seven speed chain for a seven geared bike? Would width matter?
