I put my money were my mouth is.
That don't mean I'm right - just not willing to go silently into the night.

No the tax payers like himself who has to pay for the merc, fund the unemployed amongst many things what part of that do you not understand?

    Write this on yer blackboard.....

    Problem:
    Bankers ruin country
Politicians Solution: Bail out the bankers with taxpayer money

And you agree with this??? Either you have no idea what's going on or your getting a bail out  I suspect it's the former.

Vincent Browne will have "exclusive footage"! Gimme strength.......!

Probably from the frontline on his own personal camera, hasn't that twat been trying to incite the public to violence ever since the Greeks ran amok.

What's the other option to bailing out the bankers from the scruffies. Letting the banks fail. Selling them?

Not a bad post but some of it is just a rant where answers could be provided.

Im going to bed now but I will answer them tomorrow if someone hasn't already.
Some of them have been answered already by the FF spin fans elsewhere but their "spin" didn't hold water as they say.
Whats on the list above is the tip of the iceberg - and if even 50% are accurate, its a terrible, terrible indictment on Fianna Fail and their blind supporters.

There was at least 2,000 people there. Guy announced 2,500.
About a dozen tried to barge through the gates of the Dail the guards hit them with batons bit of a scuffle then it was over. Guards locked Dail gates.

March is intended to be repeated next tues, and the week after etc.....

I was at the March and I didn't even know that demonstrators tried to storm the Dail.
That's how big the storming of the Dail, was.

I am all for a Vincent Browne tax. Call it the hypocrite tax. Also ban him from more than one media outlet. It would help the Gini index

He sure has! In his writings and on the TV Vincent has been trying to incite a Greek Style protest for some time.

I agree with what Brendan Keenan said about Vincent on the Sam Smyth radio show at the weekend.

Brendan said Vincent talks TRIPE! Hard to disagree with that!

Jeez there are some awful morons around. Why dont people try and understand the economic crisis before they start doing crap like this. There is no other option than to capitalize the banks .. especially at the moment with markets in the state they are in. Do people think we should let them fail and then watch the whole country go bankrupt which causes a knockon effect in europe which will destablise the whole world economy?

The protest was fine. Storming was ridiculous.

Jesus H..... Fcukin amateur hour, though fervent at least. TV3 "the garda cordon held" 10 blokes in bicycle helmets. Fair play in fairness. The angry mob was about 10 or 20 hippies people, so not exactly rourkes drift in scale though. We really are being led by, opposed by and commented upon by rank bloody amateurs. A flurry in a half empty teacup just about sums us up. Thank god some of the irish tea leaves stewed better elsewhere in this world and helped build it.

If patriotism may be the last refuge of a scoundrel, then colour me accordingly, but my pride is reserved for being Irish, not so much Ireland. Ireland is a great womb but a lousy mother at times.

Still for those who did get batoned, fair play. You at least did something even if I think it logically and practically daft.

Rejoice in the awareness of feeling stupid, for that’s how you end up learning new things. If you’re not aware you’re stupid, you probably are.

Got to laugh at your one trying to force her way through the gates. Got pushed back by the Gardaí. Then moaning about it. What did she think was going to happen? Ah g'wan in sure.....

Vincent Browne looks like he is about to have an orgasm there! He makes Sky News look impartial!

Whilst I don't necessarily agree with the protesters, its interesting that tv3 were on the ball, with not just a reporter, but Vincent browne on the scene. Yet, Rte had to scramble to get some cctv footage thirty minutes after sky news reported it.

Just saw it there on TV3, good few protesters, line of 5-6 garda in bicycle helmets held the gate. One guy got busted by a baton... No storming... Alot of shouting etc... Ugh.

As that eejit Browne on TV3 just said "it looked more dangerous than it was". That sums it up more eloquently than most comments on the problem with this country could.

It was the socialist workers party's banners I saw when I saw the footage there.
A bloke bleeding about the head, a woman moaning about getting a whack when she tried to storm the police and a bunch of skinny students does not a revolution make.
