Warmer weather on the way? We've had it in London for the past three days. Temperatures in the 20s and hardly a cloud in sight! Glorious!

Had no decent rain for a long time, even on the farming forecast on RTE they said that in the east grass growth was being affected.

Gardeners would be happy with some rain too.

I agree. Interesting though that Gerry just mentioned the east in that forecast when it is actually parts of south Connacht that is the driest region in the country this May so far. The east has had around twice as much rain as we have have had so far this month. Just 14.5mm here in Galway, while officially Claremorris is on 15.7mm to date.

Looking back on available archives, it would seem May 1991 was exceptionally dry too, with basically a similar pattern to the present one. If it dosen't rain soon here, I think this could possibly be a record breaking dry month here.

Edit: temp on 24.4c currently. Hoping to beat yesterday's max of 25.0c, but I have a strange feeling it might not.

Absolutely baking here in Tuam (I feel for the lads playing football in the stadium today), I read that between 11 and 3 are the hottest times during the day but it's hotter out there now than it was earlier.

    Loving it :D

I'd guess Casement Aerodrome - though it would be safe to say that there would be a bit of a difference between the two!
