Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I started out with a raleigh record sprint frame which I got for cheap enough off a friend. It was in suprisingly good condition. The BB was gone and the rear wheel was beyond saving as well but apart from that was in good nick.

It had some nice parts already on the bike San Marco Rolls saddle, some nice cranks and Weinnmen brakes.

Started stripping everything off the bike to see what was servicable and pretty much everything was still in good working order. Took off the old tatty bar tape and found some nice bars underneath.

Got most of the replacement parts off CRC which was a godsend as it kept the budget down. Also reconditioned the front wheel and gave it a lick of matt paint.

Got some cheap well-go pedals as they were going to match the colour scheme and were pretty grippy as well.

Sourcing a cheap flip-flop rear wheel is almost impossible so had to drop €75 on the rear wheel. And the last thing I had to sort was the chain tension which was a bit of hassle but I managed to get there in the end.

You should fit a rear brake if you have a freewheel on the back.

Ye I might do have the second caliper some where. thinking I might swap it over to the fixed side and get some straps. So no need for it then.
