Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I actually want England to win now. Just to piss Terry off.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 36,369 ✭✭✭✭SlickRic

    good news for England.

if true, King will now definitely go, and if he stays fit, will improve England's chances.

  • Registered Users Posts: 6,590 ✭✭✭jaykay74

Wounder will Bridge reconsider. Probably not since there are already a few left backs in the 30 man squad.

Karma indeed. And apparently Ferdinand is also a doubt. The cartwheels are wobbling already. Always drama with England in the World Cup.

Just no, its really bad news for us.

Terry is a great CB with a wealth of experience. With him out and Rio maybe not fully fit thats 2 huge players for us not at the heart of our defence.

Think they'll be better without him simply not been in good form, same with Rio - don't think Rio deserves to be involved but eh whatever.

Its actually very entertaining watchin how the whole of England will ground to a halt now as if their has been an important death or something!!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 18,807 ✭✭✭✭kippy

Carra to fill in for him in the center. Could be a watershed for his season.

Rooney is the KEY player in that England set up, they have more than enough to cope with Terry missing.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 2,798 ✭✭✭syngindub

On the Skysports page it does say "precautionary scan on his right foot" so it's more than likely nothing.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 15,391 ✭✭✭✭Oat23

    Wow.

3 pages and not 1 post saying we are all idiots for being happy a player is injured.

    He really is hated.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,081 ✭✭✭peabutler

If he is Injured (only a scan at the moment) Big Sol should be drafted in until the first of June, King and Ferdinand will definetly pick up knocks between know and THe 23 man squad so another Cb will do the trick.

Like a lot on here , I dislike Terry but still would not wish this on him,
A world Cup dream shattered ,like every pro footballer he would have been dreaming of the World Cup since he was a kid and to have it taking away like this, is cruel ,wouldn't wish it on any player.

i'm sorry, but sometimes people kind of deserve a bit of bad luck.

i don't wish his career to be ended, or anything of the sort, but missing out on the World Cup is pretty funny.

why should i want him to do well at the World Cup? he seems to personify most of what i can't really stand in a person. and i'm not going to feel guilty for it.

Has he ever stayed fit? Or played two games in a week. Great player but with him, Rio who is carrying that back problem, Glen Johnson who can't actually defend and Carra who has just about been average this season this is going to be comedy to watch.

BBC reckon it's not that serious. He'll probably play in WC.

Brave John Terry has bravely defeated a suspected cowardly broken metatarsal. The Brave defender, who courageously dragged Chelsea to a Premier League title this season, had been bravely rushed to hospital earlier following a training ground injury. Brave Terry, who has the heart of a lion, defied the odds and heroically overcame the injury that claimed David Beckham and Wayne Rooney amongst others in recent years. Pundits will point to brave Terry's bravery, courage, bravery and heart of a lion as the main reasons for his brave overcoming of this brave injury. Brave.
